Hosted by LRG-UAS, the EuroMed conference attracted 160 participants from 44 countries
This year’s EuroMed conference, dedicated to the theme of “Building New Business Models for Success through Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Competitiveness and Responsibility”, was hosted by LRG-UAS on the Glion campus. The event started on October 4th and ended with a Gala dinner in the Montreux Casino on Friday, October 5th. During the event, conference presentations sparked fruitful discussions from key academics in a dynamic, collegial atmosphere. This 5th Annual conference was honoured with the presence of over 160 participants from 44 countries.
A prestigious panel of keynote speakers included:
- Mr. Laurent Wehrli, Lord Mayor of Montreux
- H.E. Joseph Deiss, Former President of the Swiss Confederation and Representative of Switzerland at the United Nations
- Professor Louis Brennen, from Trinity College Dublin
- Dr. Max Schweizer, from the Swiss Foreign Office
- Dr. Thomas Steiner, from Fribourg Tourism
The initial feedback from conference delegates has been highly positive. We would like to sincerely thank the organising committee, Drs. Ruth Morales and Ian Jenkins, in addition to those who offered administrative and logistical support from the Bulle and Glion campuses. Above all, we would like to recognise the hard work of the students who volunteered. They illustrated the excellence of our institutions and impressed conference participants through their helpfulness, professionalism and initiative. We are all very proud of them.
