LRG-UAS Research Centre invited at Global Tourism Forum 2011

Building New Models for Tourism Growth: Competitiveness & Responsibility

LRG-UAS Research Centre was invited by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) to attend the first global tourism forum that took place in Andorra. This event was a high level meeting that brought together worldwide policy makers, market players and academics.

The aim of this event was to position the tourism industry in the global agenda as driver of economic growth and development. The debate provided an insight on how to move the sector forward towards competitive and responsible growth. For LRG-UAS, this meeting also provided a global platform for networking and interchange. At present, the Research Centre is initiating collaborative projects with the Themis Foundation which is the educational branch of the UNWTO.
