HOW TO APPLY
To apply to LRG University of Applied Science, please download our application form and include all of the items listed here. Keep a copy of all documents for your own records and send the originals by registered mail to the address on the application form. Only completed applications will be evaluated:
- LRG-UAS Application form signed and dated
- Application fee of CHF. 100.-
- Passport(s) copy (For non-Swiss citizens residing in Switzerland, include a copy of residential permit)
- 2 Passport Sized Photos
- CV or Resume: A detailed record of academic and/or professional background
- Study Plan: An essay of motivation describing why the candidate wishes to study in LRG-UAS. Minimum 250 words, maximum 1,000 words with signature and date.
- Post Study Plan: An essay explaining what the candidate wishes to do after graduation. This essay should include a statement that the candidate will leave Switzerland upon graduation. Average 250-1,000 words with signature and date.
- Educational Records:
• Transcripts: Showing all grades received and an explanation of the grading system in English or French.
• Copy of final Diploma or Degree.
• If you are coming from outside of the European Union please include a letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counsellor.
• If you have not completed your studies, please send a copy of your results for the last three years. - Official English Certificate: See Academic Requirements.
- Medical Certificate and Physician’s Report (on the Application Form): The Physician’s report must be completed by a licensed physician with the official stamp. Please also include an official report for any medical conditions that require special attention (learning disabilities, dietary restrictions etc).
- Sponsorship Letter: A signed, dated letter from the person who will finance the studies guaranteeing his or her responsibility to cover the tuition fees and all other expenses.
- Bank Guarantee: For students coming from outside the European Union please submit a letter or statement from sponsor’s bank verifying sufficient funds to cover the fees and expenses.

*GIHE, our sister school, is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in the USA. It is not part of the federally authorised UAS but the preparatory program is given on the Glion campus of this institution.
HEALTH INSURANCE
Health insurance, is compulsory for everyone living in Switzerland and is the student’s responsibility.
The school will automatically enrol and invoice each student for health insurance with a company in Switzerland except for those already living in Switzerland. Once enrolled, the contract cannot be revoked until the end of the current semester even if the student departs from school during the semester.
European students and AELE member states
Students who have a private health insurance coverage for Switzerland in accordance with the recent bilateral treaty agreements need to send to LRG Admissions office , prior to their arrival a copy of their blue health insurance card (front and back side).
Other students
Students from any other country who may have a personal health insurance scheme covering them for Switzerland need to send to the LRG Admissions office and prior to their arrival a copy of their card (front and back side) and a form called “Check form for the Equivalent of Swiss Health Insurance” which must be signed and stamp by the insurance company. This form will be used for official validation and needs to be duly filled in and mailed or faxed back.
